myAndroid Taste Test just launched by Google to help you pick the perfect android customization for your phone (at least what it said). This including wallpaper theme, widget, icons, keyboard and launcher.
How myAndroid Taste Test Works
At first, you have to answer 22
fun questions. This data will be processed by the algorithm to determine which one is the best home screen and other elements suit you.
Some of the questions are, for the color you select between monochromatic or multi-color, vibrant or muted, dark vs light, cool vs warm, and more.
After completing the survey, you will see the result and suggestion for the best theme for your Android look.
At first, I thought the wallpaper, icons, widget and etc can be easily picked and go. But, no, to apply those suggestions, you need to go to Play store and download the related apps.
myAndroid Taste Test Kind of Promotion?
First, I tested to answer 22 questions for myAndroid Taste Test with all-left answers and for the 2nd test, I answered with all-right answers. And this is the result for wallpaper suggestion
Remember that I picked all-left answers for the first test, and I am sure answered ‘vibrant’ instead of ‘muted’. Then how the result said “This is so you. We think you’ll like this wallpaper because you liked monochromatic, muted and cool looks”, the same as the second answer.
Although the suggestions result may vary, but as you can see Google recommended the same app to download. And the more surprising is, you need to find again the suggested wallpaper in Zedge app. Amusing isn’t it.
Moreover, as stated above there are 5 aspects suggested for you, android wallpaper, icons, launcher, widget and lastly your keyboard layout. This means, to apply each suggestion you need to download and install 5 different apps from play store.
Well OK, the suggested apps are popular and reliable, but somehow it is a let down. At least not how it should be. This is more about promotion than helping you to find the perfect android taste.
