There are two types network status icon on windows. First for wireless and second for wired connection. Wireless signal represented by signal icon and wired signal represented by cable icon

1. No connection available – not connected
Icon above means your computer is not connected to network and no network detected. This issue probably because your wired or wireless adapter network have not started, driver not installed correctly, network failure and other problems. Therefore if this icon shows up, click it. Next, select “Troubleshoot”, then detailed information will displayed. At this point, you will get further explanation and also automatic fix menu for your network problem.
2. Not connected – Connections are available
The icon indicates your computer is not connected to any network but there is network available. If so, click the icon to detect available network(s) for you.
3. Connecting to network
Another indicator icon with blue circle loading on top of icon, it means your computer is in the middle of process trying to connect to available network.
4. Connected – No Internet access/limited access
Next, icon indicator with exclamation mark means your computer already connected to a network but there is no internet access or limited access. Therefore, you need to check your modem or router then restart it.
5. Connected to network
Finally, the most wanted icon displayed on every computer. Icon with white color means your computer successfully connected to a network.
